William's Story
Birth: April ??, 1851 | male | in Saint George Hanover Square, Middlesex, England
Death: June 21st, 1853 | 2 years old | at Elk Horn River, West of Council Bluffs, Iowa

William’s parents were William Davis from Wales and Juliana Elizabeth Sims from England. William passed away before Juliana came to America.
After Juliana arrived in America, she joined the Jacob Gates Company with other Saints to come to the Salt Lake Valley.
William was two years old when he started the journey west. He became sick, but no information was found as to what he suffered from.
Little 2 year old William is buried along the Mormon Trail in Iowa by a creek.
From James Farmer journal of the journey west, he records:
“21st. Rose at 4[.] found the cattle safe[.] took breakfast and started at 8. fine weather and the_______ roads very good[.] plenty of wood but water scarce. Passed a few houses[.] stayed at 12 about 7 miles on the journey. plenty of water but no wood[.] Here sister Davis’s [Juliana E. Davies] child [William Davies] was buried near the Creek. started again at 2 oclock[.]”
