Thora Marie Larsen is the daughter of Knud Conrad Larsen Odden Holden and Berthe Catrina Tørjersdatter, both of Norway. The Larsen Family crossed the ocean to America on the ship Humboldt. After their arrival, they traveled by train to Nebraska and joined the Andrew H. Scott Company. Along with other members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Company left on August 8, 1866 for the Great Salt Lake Valley.

On August 20, Thora Marie passed away. Company journals record that mountain fever was common among the Saints and many passed away. Among those lost was 9-nine-old Thora Marie. She is laid to rest on the Mormon Trail in Nebraska.
