Sine's parents are Willum Christian Larsen and Christiane Sophie Christensdatter, both from Denmark.

When Sine was 15 months old, the family came across the ocean on the ship “Kenilworth”.

When they arrived in America, they traveled to Nebraska and joined the Andrew H. Scott Company to go to the Utah Territory. The journey west began on August 2, 1866.

The next day little Sina Dina passed away. No information was found that told why she passed away. In all of the histories mentioning her, it just said she passed away and was buried in a little grave by the wayside.

In one of the Company journals it said, in part:

“About 30 people including the infant, Sina Dina, daughter of Brother and sister Williamsen, died on the journey and were buried along the side of the road in unmarked graves.”
