Sarah Louise Little is the daughter of Carter Little and Eliza Greenwood French. With a desire to reach the Salt Lake Valley, the family joined the Allen Weeks Company to journey to the Great Salt Lake Valley with other members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Exhaustive travel, disease, injury, lack of food and medicine, prematurity, and extreme weather were some of the greatest threats to pioneers. Sarah Louise only lived ten days. She is buried near Elk Horn, Nebraska
