Sara Johnson was born while traveling with the Brigham Young Company of 1848. (The company arrived in the Salt Lake Valley just days after Mary was born.) Sara was a twin to Mary Johnson. Both babies died the same day. They are buried along the Mormon Trail.

This was found on Family Search: “Recorded by Knight Family: There was a birth of twin girls that were born and died on the same day. Joseph Watkins Johnson and Elizabeth Knight Johnson’s other twin girl named Sara Johnson were both buried in a shallow grave beside the trail. Information received at Salt Lake City, Utah - Knight family reunion 13 June 2014.”
