The Parent was Samuel Smith. The family traveled west with the William Snow/Joseph Young Company. NN Smith and Samuel (father) died from cholera.

Among the various "Smiths" on the Company Roster was a lone father by the name of Samuel Smith and this "[Child] Smith" described as "Unknown Birth Date," Gender Not Found," "Death Date 27 June 1850," and... "child of Samuel Smith".

There is no information on NN Smith except the following found in the journals of the journey: “Thursday 27th. Continued our journey. Came to Salt Creek. Crosed over. Passed Br. Whipple and company.
