Mary Johnson

Mary Johnson was born while traveling with the Brigham Young Company of 1848. (The company arrived in the Salt Lake Valley just days after Mary was born.) Mary was a twin to Sara Johnson. Both babies died the same day. They are buried along the Mormon Trail.

This was found on Family Search: “Recorded by Knight Family: There was a birth of twin girls that were born and died on the same day. Joseph Watkins Johnson and Elizabeth Knight Johnson’s other twin girl named Sara Johnson were both buried in a shallow grave beside the trail. Information received at Salt Lake City, Utah - Knight family reunion 13 June 2014.”
