Mary's Story
Birth: August 1st, 1862 | female | in Nebraska

Mary's parents are Rachel Bush and William Gedge from England. As new converts to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints they planned to join other Saints in America. They had one little girl Leah who came with them over the ocean. Rachel was expecting another child on their journey west.
When they arrived in New York, they traveled to Nebraska and joined the Homer Duncan Company to travel west to the Salt Lake Valley.
William became ill and was mostly confined to the wagon, unable to hunt sotheir food supply soon dwindled. Rachel drove the wagon and soon gave birth to twin girls they named Mary and Lois.
Two weeks later, little 2 year old Leah died and was buried alongside the Mormon Trail near the Platte River, in Nebraska.
As they traveled on, they had just reached the Black Hills in Wyoming Territory when Mary and Lois both passed away.
Little one month old Mary, along with her twin sister Lois is buried on the Mormon Trail in the Black Hills of Wyoming.
