Lonnie Iverson is the son of Syvert Iversen and Nicoline Andrea Christiane Vilhelmine Jacobsen both of Norway. In 1864, Syvert and Nicoline sailed to America on the ship “Monarch of the Sea.” In 1867, they joined an unknown company to cross the plains to the Salt Lake Valley.

When the company was in Wyoming, Nicoline gave birth to their first son, Lonnie. The baby did not live long and passed away. There were no journals or histories sharing information about Lonnie’s birth and death. He is buried near the Mormon trail.
