John Boden is the son of James Boden and Annorah Coleman, both from the country of Wales. The family immigrated to America and joined

the Daniel D. McArthur Company in Nebraska. On August 14, 1868 the company departed for the Great Salt Lake Valley. Two days later, while they were camped for the day in Sweetwater Wyoming, Annorah gave birth to their last child, a son whom they named John. He lived for two weeks and was buried off the Mormon Trail in Echo Canyon.

From Annorah’s history: “At the encampment in Sweetwater, Wyoming, she gave birth to her son, John. Annorah, though ill and weak, continued on, but the infant wasn’t able to survive.”
