Hans' Story
Birth: June 27th, 1848 | male | in Blans, Stokkemarke, Maribo, Denmark
Death: July 11th, 1857 | 9 years old | in Nebraska

Hans’ parents are Peder Jensen and Kirsten Jensdatter both of Denmark.
After coming to America from Denmark, the Jensen family along with other Danish Saints, joined the Christian Christiansen Company to journey to the Salt Lake Valley. They left June 15.
Before the company left, Hans’ younger brother Jens passed away from cholera in Missouri. Peder took the remaining children and traveled across the plains.
According to Hans’ older sister's history, she says:
“Little brother Hans was not well when they left Council Bluffs. On the 9th day out, he died of typhoid fever and another grave was placed by the trail.”
Little 6 year old Hans is buried on the Mormon Trail in Nebraska.
