Frances' Story
Birth: August 26th, 1855 | female | in Hackney, London, England

Frances was the first daughter and one of twelve children born to Frances Isake Farnes and John Francis Reed, both of England.
The family of four children, Frances and John came to America from England to travel with the other Saints to the Salt Lake Valley.
When they arrived in America they went to Nebraska and joined the Ira Eldridge Company destined for the journey to the Salt Lake Valley. The company left Nebraska on July 1, 1861.
While in Nebraska, young Frances Ann contracted Typhus fever and passed away.
Little 6 year old Frances Ann was laid to rest east of the Upper Platte Bridge in Nebraska.

“Frances Ann Reed; age 6; Country: London England; Date and Place of Death: 20 Aug 1861, 15 miles East of the Upper Platte Bridge; Nature of Disease: Typhus Fever; Name of Father: John Reed; Maiden Name of Mother: Frances Farnes”.
