Esther’s parents are William Henry Moulding and Eliza Wickens, both of England.

After they arrived in America and landed in Pennsylvania, Esther came down with infantile cholera and passed away in Philadelphia. A copy of the City's Registration of Deaths and a Return of Death, Physician's Certificate issued by the City of Philadelphia on file in Esther's family search sources.

Little 8 month old Esther was buried on July 28 in the Philanthropic Cemetery in Philadelphia.

The family then went west in 1861 and joined an “unknown company” to journey to the Salt Lake Valley. However in Eliza's history, it says they came with the Milo Andrus Company.
