Newborn Elizabeth's parents are Margaret Edwards and John Price of Wales. The Price’s had three children when they decided to come to America, unfortunately one of the daughters passed away in Wales. As the family was coming over the ocean, their baby son died and was buried at sea.

After arriving in America, the Price's and other Saints joined with the John A. Hunt Wagon Company. The company left Iowa on 1 August 1856.

When the company was close to the last crossing of the Platte River in Wyoming, Elizabeth gave birth to their fourth child, a little daughter. They named her Elizabeth Edwards Price.

Sadly, little 2 day old Elizabeth passed away, she is buried there by the last crossing they made on the Platte River in Wyoming.

From the journal of the company it is recorded:

“Thursday 30th{.} Started at 9 a.m. beautiful fine weather. very heavy road, high hills & wet sandy ground{.} camped at 2 pm{.} distance travelled 7 miles. Platte river & feed middling. Margaret Price Wife of John Price of Pembrokeshire Wales was del{ivere}d of a Daughter.”
