Beata is the third of seven children born to Eric Eliason and Anna Nilsdotter Hansson of Sweden. The Eliason family immigrated to America, sailing on the ship B.S. Kimball. Upon arrival, they traveled to Nebraska to join an unknown company to journey to the Salt Lake Valley. With other members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Saints.

Exhaustive travel conditions, disease, injury, lack of food and medicine, prematurity, and extreme weather were some of the greatest threats to pioneers. Beata passed away in October before the Company could reach the journey’s end. The cause of dead and burial are unknown.
