Anne’s parents are Stephen Tucker and Eliza Ann Mercer, both from England. The Tucker family had two children, Emily and Henry, however Emily passed away before they left England. The ship that brought them across the ocean landed in Pennsylvania. This is where they were blessed with another daughter, Anne Louise.

They continued their journey overland traveling west to Nebraska where they joined the Ansil P Harmon Company to journey with other Saints to the Salt Lake Valley. The company left August 1, 1862.

Along the way, many Saints were coming down with various diseases. Little Anne Louise contracted typhoid in Wyoming. She passed away from the disease when they got to Echo Canyon in Utah where she is buried.

Family history says:

“Their baby died along the way and was buried in Echo Canyon about 70 miles east of Salt Lake City.”
