Ane's Story

Ane's parents are Peder Jensen and Anna Marie Sorensdatter, both from Denmark. Ane was the first of nine children born to Peder and Anna.
They traveled over the ocean with other Danish Saints to America. When they arrived in America, they joined the William Budge Company to come west to the Salt Lake Valley in Utah. The company left Nebraska on July 20, 1860.
After being on the journey for one day, the company camped at Elk Horn. It is there that 1 year old Ane Christine passed away. No information could be found as to why she passed, but she is buried by Elk Horn which is West of what is now Omaha, Nebraska.
