Ane Jensen was the first of nine children born to Peder Jensen and Anna Marie Sorensdatter, both from Denmark. After joining The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, they sailed the Atlantic Ocean with other Danish Saints to America. After arriving, they joined the William Budge Company to travel to the Salt Lake Valley in Utah. The company left Nebraska on July 20, 1860.

After one day, the company camped at Elk Horn. It is there that 1-year-old Ane Christine passed away and is buried by Elk Horn, west of what is now Omaha, Nebraska. The cause of death is unknown.
